Avenue Scotland is recruiting an experienced Groundworks Working Foreman for a new build housing project in Fife. You will lead a groundworks team on site, plan daily workloads and ensure works align with the programme and drawings.

We seek a candidate with a strong groundworks background, proven leadership, and the ability to motivate a squad. PAYE or CIS options available, with a long-term opportunity on a development in Fife.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team of groundworkers on site.
• Strong background in groundworks and civil engineering.
• Ability to read and understand site drawings.
• Good leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to plan workloads to programme.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and coordinate a team of groundworkers on site.
• Organise daily workloads and allocate tasks across the team.
• Ensure works are completed in line with programme, drawings and specifications.
• Oversee groundworks including drainage, foundations, roads, kerbing, utilities, concrete works and external works.
• Monitor team productivity, progress and quality of workmanship.
• Coordinate labour, plant, materials and resources required for upcoming works.
• Ensure high standards of health & safety are maintained across the team.
• Carry out toolbox talks, briefings and site inductions where required.
• Liaise closely with Site Managers, engineers and other contractors.
• Identify potential site or programme issues and work with management to resolve these efficiently.
• Maintain strong communication across the groundworks team and wider site.
• Ensure the site remains organised and works progress efficiently.

Working Foreman - Groundworks | Fife | New Build Housing

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Groundworks Working Foreman to join a new build housing development in Fife.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for leading and coordinating a team of groundworkers, ensuring daily works are properly planned, organised and delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme.

This role would suit an experienced Groundworks Foreman, Supervisor or Ganger who has a strong groundworks background and a proven track record of successfully managing and motivating a groundworks squad on site.

PAYE or CIS options available.

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience as a Groundworks Foreman, Working Foreman, Groundworks Supervisor or Groundworks Manager.
• Proven experience leading and supervising a team of groundworkers.
• Strong background within groundworks and civil engineering.
• Good knowledge of drainage, foundations, roads, kerbing, utilities and concrete works.
• Ability to read and understand site drawings.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to plan workloads and keep a team working effectively to programme.
• Valid CSCS card.
• SSSTS/SMSTS preferred.
• Full UK Driving Licence preferred.
