Job summary

Avon and Somerset Police in Portishead is seeking a full-time Workforce Planning Assistant on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will provide administrative and organisational support to the Head of Workforce Planning, helping deliver workforce plans, resourcing strategies, and apprenticeship programme management.

You will coordinate planning activities, maintain records, and help produce reports to inform decision-making across the constabulary.

Qualifications

• Proven experience using Microsoft Office and databases.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High accuracy with attention to detail and deadlines.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Quality assuring data and researching changes to workforce trajectories.
• Input data accurately and keep databases up to date to inform offers and decisions.
• Compile data for PCDA collectives, vacancies and Establishment information to support forecasters and Talent Acquisition.
• Monitor establishments, highlight discrepancies and trends to ensure data integrity.
