Job summary

Invitise is seeking a Workforce Planning Manager to lead the strategic workforce plan for a Wiltshire-based public sector organisation. The role is hybrid, on a 6-month contract, with a daily rate up to £620 (Inside IR35, Umbrella).

You will develop forecasts, run scenarios, and drive people analytics to influence executive decisions, attending the Wiltshire office around three days per week.

• Experience leading Strategic Workforce Planning in a complex organisation.
• Proficient in building supply and demand models and forecasts.
• Strong people analytics and workforce insight capability.
• Experience presenting to senior leaders.

Job description

We're looking for a Workforce Planning Manager for a public sector organisation, based in Wiltshire (hybrid), on an initial 6-month contract, paying up to £620 per day (Inside IR35, Umbrella).

There's an expectation to attend the office in Wiltshire around 3 days a week.

Key responsibilities

• Own the development, maintenance and annual publication of the organisation's Strategic Workforce Plan.
• Build supply and demand forecasts, run scenario planning and workforce modelling, and lead the people analytics capability that turns workforce data into evidence-based recommendations.
• Coordinate workforce governance forums and present clear recommendations to Executive-level stakeholders.

Required experience

• Leading Strategic Workforce Planning in a complex organisation
• Building workforce supply and demand models and forecasts
• People analytics, workforce insight, dashboard development and trend analysis
• Workforce capability assessment and workforce risk analysis
• Advanced Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivots, macros)
• Multiple variable, regression, factor and thematic analysis
• Strong governance, stakeholder management and facilitation skills, along with the ability to shape workforce data into practical interventions and present findings to senior leaders.

Additional experience

• Experience implementing workforce operating models or transformation programmes would be beneficial, as would Power BI.
• Hold or be eligible to obtain SC clearance.
