Job summary

Home Instead in Yeovil is seeking a Workforce Planning & Care Coordinator to ensure care packages are delivered safely and efficiently. You will manage complex staff rotas, match carers to client needs, and support high-quality community care across multiple locations.

The ideal candidate will hold a Category B driving license for travel between remote sites, be willing to complete an Enhanced DBS, and have NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or equivalent.

Qualifications

  • Valid Category B driving license is a genuine occupational requirement for travel between remote sites.
  • Willing to complete an Enhanced DBS check.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
  • Experience managing large geographical care rounds and supporting a growing care service.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain staff rotas and schedules to cover care visits.
  • Match carers to client needs, preferences and locations.
  • Monitor workforce capacity and service demand across communities.
  • Coordinate new care package implementations and adjustments.
  • Liaise with care staff, clients, families and healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure all visits are staffed and covered; respond to emergencies and absences.
  • Maintain accurate records in care management systems.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning activities.
  • Contribute to service performance targets and regulatory compliance.

Job Description

As our Workforce Planning & Care Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring care packages are delivered safely, efficiently, and consistently. You will manage complex staff rotas, maximise workforce capacity, and support the delivery of high-quality care services across the community.

Key Tasks

  • Contribute to service performance targets, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.

Ideal Candidate

  • Willing to complete an Enhanced DBS

  • Carry out on call duties
  • Level 4 English and IT literate
  • A desire to genuinely help other people and make a difference

  • Knowledge of workforce planning methodologies.
  • Experience managing large geographical care rounds.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
  • Experience supporting a growing care service.
