Job summary

Home Instead in Yeovil is seeking a Senior Care Coordinator to join our growing domiciliary care team. You will work with the Registered Manager to ensure safe, compliant delivery of care services while leading and supporting our Care Professionals.

You’ll contribute to branch growth by converting enquiries, conducting assessments and promoting our services to families and healthcare partners, ensuring high-quality care and strong client relationships.

Qualifications

  • Experience in domiciliary/home care.
  • Experience as a Care Coordinator or Senior Care Coordinator or related role.
  • Good understanding of CQC regulations and care standards.
  • Promote and sell domiciliary/live-in care to clients, families and professionals.
  • Conduct initial consultations and assessments from enquiry to service start.
  • Build relationships with referral sources to generate new business.
  • Strong planning and scheduling abilities.
  • Excellent IT and administration skills.
  • Category B driving licence is a genuine occupational requirement.
  • Willing to complete an Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

  • Convert care enquiries into new care packages and promote services.
  • Support day-to-day management of domiciliary care services.
  • Conduct care assessments, reviews and risk assessments.
  • Ensure care plans are accurate and person-centred.
  • Monitor service quality and compliance with CQC regulations.
  • Supervise, mentor and support care staff.
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding and training.
  • Handle client and staff queries professionally.
  • Cover on-call duties on a rota basis.
  • Coordinate care staff rotas to ensure efficient service delivery.

Are you an experienced Care Coordinator looking for career progression?

We're looking for a passionate and organised Senior Care Coordinator to join our growing domiciliary care team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering outstanding care, supporting our care teams, and helping us make a real difference in the lives of people within our community.

You’ll work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the safe, effective, and compliant delivery of care services while leading and supporting our dedicated team of Care Professionals.

Key Tasks

  • Contribute to branch growth by converting care enquiries into new care packages, promoting our domiciliary and live‑in care services, conducting assessments, and supporting families through the care journey from initial enquiry to service commencement.
  • Supporting the day‑to‑day management of our domiciliary care service.
  • Conducting care assessments, reviews, and risk assessments.
  • Ensuring care plans remain accurate and person‑centred.
  • Monitoring service quality and compliance with CQC regulations.
  • Supervising, mentoring, and supporting care staff.
  • Assisting with recruitment, onboarding, and training activities.
  • Handling client and staff queries professionally and effectively.
  • Covering on‑call duties on a rota basis where required.
  • Managing and coordinating care staff rotas to ensure efficient service delivery when Scheduling support is needed.
  • Supporting the Registered Manager with business growth and service development.

Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience within domiciliary/home care.
  • Experience as a Care Coordinator, Senior Care Coordinator, Team Leader, or Deputy Care Manager.
  • Good understanding of CQC regulations and care standards.
  • Promote and sell our domiciliary and live‑in care services to prospective clients, families, healthcare professionals, and local community partners.
  • Conduct initial consultations and assessments, supporting clients from enquiry through to service commencement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with referral sources to generate new business opportunities.
  • Strong planning and scheduling skills.
  • Excellent IT and administration skills.
  • A valid Category B driving license is agenuine occupational requirementfor this role due tothe need to travel between remote sites where public transport is unavailable.
  • Willing to complete an Enhanced DBS
  • NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
  • Working towards or holding Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification.
  • Experience supporting branch growth and development.
