Job summary

RunThrough, the UK’s biggest running events company, is recruiting a Workforce Manager to own staffing for about 325 events a year. You will build the staff plan, recruit and pay crew, and ensure every race is staffed and briefing completed before race day.

Based in our office, you’ll lead a small team, roll out a new workforce platform, report weekly on staffing and costs, and manage the crew budget. You’ll thrive on detail, deadlines and keeping events fully covered.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and managing a large flexible workforce across events and festivals.
• Rostering and scheduling at scale using tools and spreadsheets.
• A confident recruiter and people manager who can brief and train others clearly.
• Commercial sense: manage a staffing budget and negotiate rates.
• Calm, organised and decisive under pressure, with attention to pay.

Responsibilities

• Lead the annual staff plan, ensuring coverage for ~325 UK events and ~900 crew shifts.
• Recruit, onboard and pay Part Time Crew; brief crew for each event with clear roles and timing.
• Roll out the new in-house workforce platform and manage weekly staffing reports.
• Own the staffing budget and maintain escalation routes on event morning changes.
• Line-manage Full Time Crew and regional Staffing Managers; set staffing standards.
