RunThrough is seeking an Event Manager in Manchester to own on-site delivery of weekend running events. You will set up, run, and break down event courses, oversee operations, and ensure a safe, well-organised participant experience.

You will lead staff and volunteers, coordinate logistics, and attend weekly planning meetings. A hands-on, outdoors-friendly attitude and full UK driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in event delivery, operations, or volunteering (preferably within mass participation or sporting events).
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Confident leading teams, including staff and volunteers.
• Ability to problem-solve and make decisions quickly under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner.
• Hands-on, proactive attitude with a willingness to work outdoors in all conditions.
• Full UK driving licence (essential).

Responsabilités

• Lead the setup, delivery, and breakdown of the event courses at weekend running events.
• Oversee on-the-day operations, ensuring events run smoothly, safely, and on schedule.
• Manage and brief event staff and volunteers.
• Act as a main point of contact on the course, resolving issues as they arise.
• Provide a smooth and well-organised experience for all participants.
• Maintain high standards of presentation, safety, and efficiency.
• Support event logistics including equipment loading, transport, and pack down.
• Attend weekly planning meetings to align on upcoming events.
• Van drop off and collection as required.
