Job summary

Sky is seeking an experienced senior professional to lead critical workforce compliance, employment tax and payroll activity across major integration programmes. You will govern data-driven reviews, design controls, and ensure compliant onboarding of new businesses and workforce populations.

In this hybrid role, you will partner with Legal, Finance, People, Payroll, Procurement and external advisers, delivering evidence-based recommendations and robust governance across PAYE, NIC, PSA/P11D and

Qualifications

• Significant experience in workforce compliance, employment tax or payroll compliance.
• Experience in large in-house functions, professional services or specialist consultancy.
• Strong understanding of contingent workforce and worker engagement models.
• Proven experience leading data-driven compliance or transformation reviews.
• Strong data analysis and reconciliation capabilities across HR, finance, payroll and procurement data.
• Ability to design risk-based sampling, evidence gathering and remediation activity.
• Excellent project management and stakeholder influencing skills.
• Ability to work independently delivering complex problems with technical credibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead employment tax, payroll and workforce compliance workstreams across M&A integrations and other corporate changes.
• Assess risks from due diligence and translate findings into integration and remediation plans.
• Develop scalable approaches for onboarding acquired businesses into Sky governance and controls.
• Partner with Legal, Finance, People, Payroll, Procurement and external advisers.
• Provide evidence-based recommendations to programme leaders and governance forums.
• Establish complete populations across employee and non-employee worker categories and reconcile data across multiple systems.
• Lead data gathering, reconciliation and profiling to support sampling and reviews.
• Coordinate collection and review of contracts to confirm engagement basis and payment alignment.
• Work with specialists to ensure compliance with employment status and off-payroll requirements.
