Job description

Well established organisation based in Manchester is looking for a Womenswear Designer to join their inhouse team. Hybrid flexible working.

You will need previous in-depth womenswear experience within a high-end brand (not fast fashion) that offers outdoor wear with a luxury feel eg: jackets & coats etc.

You will need a solid understanding of fabric technology and outerwear apparel, along with focus on performance and innovations for outdoor clothing eg: sportwear.

Key skills include Adobe Creative Cloud, along with CAD and 3D Design tools eg: CLO 3D.

  • Concept development & trend research.
  • Garment design.
  • Technical development.
  • Fabric & material research.
  • Sample co-ordination.
  • Knowledge of garment construction, pattern making & fabric behaviour.
  • Excellent communication skills between the team and other departments.
  • Previous experience of guiding and mentoring junior members of the team.
