Job summary

Changing Lives in Newcastle is seeking a female Night Support Worker to join our small but passionate team in Cumberland House, a 12-bed women’s accommodation for adults aged 18+. You will support residents experiencing homelessness, including those with substance misuse, mental health concerns, or past offending history.

We are looking for someone with compassion, enthusiasm and a genuine desire to support vulnerable people in a safe, respectful environment. Only female applicants please.

Qualifications

• Female applicants only due to the role.
• Experience supporting vulnerable people, preferably in housing, homelessness or social care.
• Compassion, enthusiasm and a non-judgmental attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide night-time welfare support and safeguarding for residents.
• Assist with daily routines, safety, and signposting to services.
• Maintain a safe, clean and respectful living environment for residents.

About the Service - Housing & Homelessness Services

A safe home is the solid base from which you build your life. We support people who are experiencing homelessness, or at risk of becoming homeless, as well as providing specialist accommodation and outreach services for rough sleepers, veterans, survivors of domestic abuse, women and young people.
