Job summary

Changing Lives is seeking a Housing Support Worker to help deliver housing-related services in the South Tyneside area. The role focuses on eviction support, rent arrears management, and referrals to partner agencies to improve clients’ quality of life.

The ideal candidate will have a full driving licence and a compassionate approach, aligned with our mission to provide a safe home and opportunities for a brighter future.

Qualifications

• To support the delivery of support around eviction, rent arrears, council tax, and referrals to other agencies.
• To work with people accessing Changing Lives in order to improve their quality of life and to deliver an excellent service for clients in line with the organisation’s mission, service goals, values and associated regulations, guidance and legislature.
• A full current driving licence is essential due to the nature of the role.

Responsibilities

• Provide housing support and guidance to clients experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness.
• Support clients with rent arrears, eviction prevention and related housing issues.
• Liaise with external agencies to coordinate referrals and services.

A safe home is the solid base from which you build your life. We support people who are experiencing homelessness, or at risk of becoming homeless, as well as providing specialist accommodation and outreach services for rough sleepers, veterans, survivors of domestic abuse, women and young people.
