TeacherActive Ltd on Wirral is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant for full-time roles in a welcoming, well-resourced special school. The role involves 1:1 and small-group support, working with a team to implement personalised learning plans and support pupil needs.

The position is on-site, Monday to Friday 8:30am–3:30pm, with DBS on Update Service or willingness to apply. Salary ranges from £90 to £110 per day, with opportunities for day-to-day or long-term placements and a dedicated consultant.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills are essential – verbal and non‑verbal.
• Full‑time availability Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm.
• DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
• Experience with SEND students or within a special school setting is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.
• Work alongside teachers and other professionals to implement individual learning and communication plans.
• Help create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
• Support pupils with personal care, mobility, and emotional regulation as needed.
• Encourage independence and positive behaviour through consistent routines and structure.
