Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd in Trafford is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to support KS3- KS4 pupils with SEND on a full-time, long-term basis from after October half term. The role involves 1:1 and classroom support, behaviour management and personal care where required.

You will work closely with teaching staff in a nurturing SEND environment, with ASD/ADHD/PMLD pupils. Full-time on-site position with PAYE.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
• Experience working with pupils with ASD, ADHD and/or PMLD
• Confidence providing 1:1 and classroom-based support
• Experience supporting behaviour and implementing positive behaviour strategies
• Willingness to support with personal care where required
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach

The school is looking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis from after October half term. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will provide 1:1 and classroom support, assist with behaviour management and personal care where required, and work closely with teaching staff to support pupils throughout the school day.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
• Experience working with pupils with ASD, ADHD and/or PMLD
• Confidence providing 1:1 and classroom-based support
• Experience supporting behaviour and implementing positive behaviour strategies
• Willingness to support with personal care where required
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach
