Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd is partnering with a Coventry SEND setting to recruit a SEN Teaching Assistant for day-to-day and long-term vacancies. You will support pupils with complex needs across age groups, delivering personalised assistance in classroom and support settings.

The role offers a stable on-site daily rate between £95 and £115, with immediate start. You will join a supportive team with CPD opportunities and a referral scheme as part of our onboarding process.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND.
• Experience supporting pupils with PMLD, SLD and/or SEMH.
• Confidence supporting pupils with complex additional needs.
• Experience working across different age groups.

Sen Teaching Assistant

Are you an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting pupils with complex additional needs?

Do you have experience supporting pupils with PMLD, SLD and SEMH?

Are you patient, resilient and adaptable enough to support children and young people across different ages?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND setting in Coventry supporting pupils of mixed ages with a range of additional needs, including Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties / PMLD, Severe Learning Difficulties / SLD and Social, Emotional and Mental Health / SEMH needs. The setting provides a supportive and structured environment where pupils receive personalised support to help them engage with learning and develop their confidence and independence.

The setting is looking to appoint SEND Teaching Assistants for day-to-day and long-term opportunities, with an immediate start. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will support pupils across different age groups, provide individual and classroom support and adapt their approach to meet a range of complex SEND needs.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND
• Experience supporting pupils with PMLD, SLD and/or SEMH
• Confidence supporting pupils with complex additional needs
• Experience working across different age groups
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
