Job summary

Airbus in Filton, UK is seeking Design Interns as part of the Wing Engineering Team. You will contribute to designing wing structures across Airbus programmes, creating manufacturing drawings, and evaluating designs within time and cost constraints.

We welcome undergraduates who are motivated to learn metallic and composite structures, using tools like CATIA V5 and related design software, while developing professional skills and a future career in aerospace engineering.

Qualifications

• Studying towards a degree in Engineering, Design Technology, Science or Maths.
• Willingness to learn basic metallic and composite structures and design tools.
• Ability to communicate and work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Design of composite and metallic wing structures across Airbus programmes.
• Create design schemes, frontier and interface drawings for manufacture.
• Assess design solutions within time, cost and quality constraints.
