Job summary

Airbus UK offers an internship in the Wing Repairs department, giving insight into repairing wing structures across the Airbus fleet. You will join a multidisciplinary team and learn CAD-based repair design, static and fatigue analyses, and integration into existing structures to ensure safe operation.

Open to undergraduates who remain enrolled for the duration of the placement; CV and Cover Letter outlining motivation are required.

Qualifications

• Open to undergraduate students for the full duration of the placement.
• CV and Cover Letter outlining motivation and suitability for the role.
• Studying towards a degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience with design tools, such as AutoCAD or CATIA, is preferred.
• Knowledge of Structural Analysis and Statistics is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Design repairs for wing structures using CAD tools.
• Static stress analysis to ensure repaired structure strength.
• Fatigue and Damage Tolerance analysis for aircraft life.
• Collaborate with Wing design, Materials and Processes, and Customer Services teams.
