Job summary

Airbus in the United Kingdom offers an exciting internship in the Wing Structural Design team in Broughton. You will work on Static Stress, Fatigue and Damage Tolerance (FDT), and Finite Elements Method (FEM) analysis with the Plant Engineering Team (PET) and support the A400M team.

Qualifications

• Studying toward a degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Some knowledge of aircraft structural design principles.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude.
• Willingness to propose new ideas to solve problems.
• Self-driven and able to work autonomously.
• Good communication skills and a drive to deliver customer value.

Responsibilities

• Solve structural analysis problems within Static Stress, FDT and FEM using Airbus methods and tools.
• Create appropriate documentation for analyses.
• Communicate analysis results to mentors and senior engineers.
• Contribute to wing modification processes with cross-team alignment.
• Investigate manufacturing optimisation challenges and propose enhancements.
• Outline personal development goals, including learning Java or Python and networking.
