Job summary

Airbus Operations Limited in the UK offers a unique internship in Wing Repairs in Filton, Bristol. You will join a multidisciplinary team to develop wing repairs for the Airbus fleet, from A300s to the latest A350s, gaining exposure to repair/design processes and aircraft structural challenges.

The placement runs for 12.5 months, starting 16 August 2027. Open to undergraduates only, with potential for exposure to research and integration with future aircraft projects.

Qualifications

• Open to undergraduates for the whole placement duration.
• Studying for a degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with design tools such as AutoCAD or CATIA is nice to have.
• Knowledge of structural analysis and statistics is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repair design using CAD tools and provide installation instructions.
• Perform static stress analysis on repaired structures.
• Conduct fatigue and damage tolerance analyses for life of the aircraft.
