Job summary

Majestic Wine in Ludlow is looking for a Sales Assistant to support the store team, drive sales and deliver exceptional customer service. This fixed-term role is 12 hours per week, with evenings and weekends, and involves driving one of our company vans.

You will develop wine knowledge toward a WSET Level 2 and act as an ambassador for the store, assisting with stock, merchandising and daily operations to ensure a superior customer experience.

Qualifications

• Excellent time-management, delegation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Self-motivated, able to thrive when working alone and as part of a team.
• Wine knowledge is beneficial but passion to learn more is essential to pass level 2 WSET wine qualifications.
• Full UK manual driving licence held for at least 12 months with up to 6 penalty points.

Responsibilities

• Drive store performance by maximizing sales opportunities and supporting targets.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to promote loyalty and repeat purchases.
• Provide VIP concierge service with product updates and tastings.
• Share passion for wine and maintain knowledge of our range to sell with confidence.
• Ensure store appearance and maintenance, inside and out.
• Assist with day-to-day operations including deliveries and merchandising.
• Identify opportunities to improve store operations and share ideas with the team.
