Majestic Wine Peterborough is seeking a dynamic Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in driving sales and day-to-day operations. You will ensure an exceptional customer experience while maintaining high standards and supporting junior team members.

You will drive KPI performance, manage a tasting counter, and lead a team to deliver excellent service. A full UK manual licence is required and the role involves evenings and weekends.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in fast-paced, target-driven retail or hospitality environments.
• Ability to deliver exceptional customer experience and service.
• Understanding of retail KPIs and how to drive improvements.
• Ability to prioritise and problem solve under pressure.
• Self-motivated, able to work alone and in a team.
• Can-do attitude with commitment to solutions.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Willingness to work towards WSET 2 and 3 Qualifications.
• Hold a full UK manual transmission driving licence for at least 12 months with up to 6 penalty points.

Aufgaben

• Support Store Manager in driving performance and day-to-day operations; cover in their absence.
• Drive store performance and optimise KPI outcomes with planned actions.
• Deliver market-leading customer service to foster loyalty and repeat business.
• Provide VIP concierge service with product updates and tastings.
• Share product knowledge; manage tasting events and counter.
• Help recruit, manage and develop the team; support junior colleagues.
• Develop staff knowledge and pass WSET qualifications; grow personal knowledge.
• Maintain appearance and upkeep of the store; report and escalate issues promptly.
• Identify opportunities to improve store operations and compliance.
