Job summary

Majestic Wine in Petersfield is seeking a Sales Assistant to support the store team and drive sales, while delivering exceptional customer service. You will help with everyday store operations, stock management, and customer engagement in a fast-paced retail environment.

You must be able to work evenings and weekends, have a full UK driving licence, and show a passion for wine with a willingness to learn. A 24-hour week role with on-site duties and staff benefits awaits the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Can-do attitude with a passion for seeing problems through to solutions.
• Adaptable and resilient to meet changing demands of the business.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Wine knowledge is beneficial but passion to learn more is essential to pass level 2 WSET wine qualifications.
• Hold a full UK, manual transmission driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.

Responsibilities

• Drive store performance by maximizing sales opportunities and supporting the team to meet and exceed targets.
• Deliver market-leading customer service to drive business growth through loyalty and repeat purchases.
• Act as an ambassador for the store, contacting customers with product updates and tastings.
• Sell the story of our range, not just discounts, with in-depth product knowledge.
• Contribute to the store's wine knowledge and support training for junior team members.
• Ensure the store looks professional and well-maintained both inside and outside.
• Participate in all daily operational tasks from deliveries to merchandising and outreach.
