Responsibilities

• Audit the existing Windows Server 2016 instances, identifying roles, features, applications and dependencies.
• Build replacement Windows Server 2025 servers from baseline templates and ensure configurations meet company standard build specifications.
• Migrate file servers, shares and permissions using Storage Migration Service or equivalent tools.
• Migrate internal services and other infrastructure roles.
• Work with application owners to test and migrate business applications.
• Follow company change control processes, raising change requests and provide out-of-hours cutover support where required.
• Decommission legacy servers securely, following documented processes, once migration is signed off.
