Interface Recruitment is seeking a Contract Wintel Engineer to support a pan-European data centre migration project. You will act as the Windows SME, configuring OS on VMs, assisting Active Directory migrations, and supporting decommissioning of on-premise servers.

Contract Wintel Engineer – Data centre migration (outside IR35) REF1117

This major technology focused, pan European, Financial Services organisation are looking to migrate their data centres into a managed service provision.

As such you will have solid exposure at a big data level and within sizeable business structure.

Windows Engineer x1:will support the project team to deliver the migration into managed service. Technical SME on Windows OS and execution of project activities, namely configuration of Windows O/S on the VMs created as part of Apps Migration, support with Active Directory migration and support in decommissioning the on-premise servers, and other activities as required.

Technical makeup: windows server 2016 –> 2019/22 migration. Knowledge of clustering, IIS, Exchange and SQL.

The role is hybrid in nature until the first weeks have passed re meeting the key team and view the current datacentre. Once achieved 90% remote is highly probable.
