Job summary

Salt Digital Recruitment is seeking an experienced Deployment Manager to lead the onsite delivery of a large-scale Windows 11 device migration programme in South West London. You will coordinate deployment engineers, Waves, and end users, ensuring readiness ahead of each deployment.

The role requires hands-on leadership and a strong technical understanding of Intune and Autopilot to drive multi-department rollouts.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading large scale end user device deployments.
• Experience migrating Windows 10 to Windows 11.
• Managing rollouts of 500+ devices.
• Strong Microsoft Intune expertise.
• Experience with Windows Autopilot.
• Knowledge of device provisioning, enrolment and app deployment.
• Experience with phased or wave deployments.
• Experience leading/coordinating deployment engineers.
• Scheduling and resource planning experience.
• Troubleshooting deployment issues.
• Strong stakeholder management and end-user communication.
• Experience managing third-party suppliers or partners.
• Maintaining deployment trackers and RAID logs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the onsite delivery of a large scale Windows 11 device rollout.
• Coordinate third-party deployment engineers.
• Plan and manage deployment waves across departments and user groups.
• Manage daily deployment schedules, appointments and capacity.
• Ensure devices and users are ready ahead of each deployment wave.
• Oversee Windows 11 provisioning through Intune and Autopilot.
• Serve as main point of contact between technical teams and end users.
• Manage deployment issues and remediation.
• Coordinate with Intune, packaging, infra and Service Desk teams.
• Maintain live deployment trackers.
• Monitor deployment volumes against targets.
• Manage supplier and engineering performance.
• Provide progress updates and RAID log management.
• Ensure deployment handover and quality standards.
