Job summary

Salt Digital Recruitment is seeking an IT Applications Analyst for a London-based council, offering hybrid work with at least 3 days in the office. The role focuses on Windows 11 migration, application remediation, packaging, deployment via Intune, and licensing compliance.

You will collaborate with IT teams, licensing colleagues and a packaging partner to ensure readiness and compliant deployment across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Applications Analyst or similar in a large, complex organisation.
• Hands-on Windows 10 to Windows 11 migration or remediation programme experience.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager deployment.
• Understanding of packaging formats including MSI, MSIX, App-V and Win32/intunewin.
• Experience coordinating application testing and UAT.
• Experience using SNOW Software Asset Management or a comparable SAM platform.
• Understanding of software licensing and licence compliance.
• Advanced Excel skills with lookups, pivots and data reconciliation.
• Experience managing third-party suppliers or delivery partners.
• Good knowledge of ITIL processes.
• Ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong organisation and stakeholder management strengths.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Windows 11 remediation workstream and baseline.
• Coordinate packaging requests with the third-party packaging partner.
• Coordinate source media, testing readiness and application sign-off.
• Coordinate testing and UAT with IT engineers and business users.
• Deploy and manage applications through Intune and Company Portal.
• Maintain accurate application registers and remediation trackers.
