Job summary

RES, the world’s largest independent renewable energy company, is seeking a Turbine O&M Technician to support the O&M team on delivery of wind projects across the UK. The role requires technical insight into mechanical and electrical systems and a proactive approach to fault-finding and improvements.

You will travel within the UK & Ireland, lead component replacements, assist with risk assessments, and develop in-house technical skills while upholding safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification (minimum Level 3 NVQ) or equivalent experience.
• Experience with wind turbine maintenance or large components is advantageous.
• Ability to travel within the UK & Ireland and work at height.

Responsibilities

• Support the Turbine O&M team in delivering specified projects and provide technical assistance to resolve issues or implement improvements.
• Prepare Risk Assessments, Method statements (RAMS) and other client procedures as required.
• Lead main component replacements and assist with onsite technical issues and improvements; coordinate with site teams.
