Job summary

Vestas on the Isle of Wight is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the blade manufacturing process. You will maintain electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, diagnose PLC-controlled equipment, and manage preventative maintenance within a 24/7 rotating shift pattern.

You will join a 24-person Maintenance team focusing on safety, problem-solving, and continuous improvement while contributing to reliable operations in a high‑tech manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Technical or vocational qualification in a maintenance-related discipline.
• Experience maintaining equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical equipment, as well as hand tools.
• Maintaining calibration and measurement equipment and associated systems.
• Diagnosing and interrogating PLC-controlled equipment and systems.
• Administering maintenance systems, including planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown support.
• Ensuring work areas are maintained in a safe and clean condition using 5S methodology.
• Contributing to supplier evaluations for maintenance-related equipment and services.
• Working safely at all times and maintaining a strong safety culture among colleagues.
