Job summary
Vestas is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer on the Isle of Wight to optimise and continuously improve production processes. You will work with Operations, Quality, Lean, and HQ Engineering to ensure robust process control and high product quality while supporting new products and technologies.
The role focuses on PFMEA, process design, control plans, process capability, and collaboration across functions to drive efficiency and quality improvements in a fast-paced wind-turbine blade
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years in manufacturing or industrial engineering.
- Solid understanding of production processes and quality systems.
- Experience managing engineering projects and delivering process improvements.
- Core Tools training and certification including PFMEA, Control Plan and SPC.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
- Experience supporting NPI activities in manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Manage PFMEA activities and maintain control plans and change management.
- Ensure SQDCP objectives with design, layouts, and process capability.
- Define and maintain manufacturing processes, testing, tooling specs, and docs.
- Support first-time-right quality with audits, checks, and poka-yoke.
- Lead continuous improvement with Lean Engineering and KPI analysis.
- Govern ECM activities and implement process changes in the factory.
- Support NPI and TT projects with HQ and cross-functional teams.
