Job summary

Vestas is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Isle of Wight blade manufacturing site to service electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical systems in a 24/7 operation. You’ll perform planned and reactive maintenance, adhere to 5S standards, and help keep critical production lines running.

The role requires problem-solving, shift flexibility, and a proactive safety mindset. The company offers a bonus, pension, private medical/dental cover and life assurance.

Qualifications

• Mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems knowledge.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics and manuals.
• Basic computer and smartphone proficiency.
• Technical or vocational qualification in a maintenance-related discipline.
• Experience maintaining equipment in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical equipment and hand tools.
• Maintain calibration and measurement equipment and systems.
• Diagnose and interrogate PLC-controlled equipment and systems.
• Administer maintenance systems including planned preventive maintenance and reactive breakdowns.
• Maintain safe and clean work areas using 5S methodology.
• Contribute to supplier evaluations for maintenance-related equipment and services.
• Work safely and promote a strong safety culture.
