Job summary

Vestas Wind Systems A/S in Seaham is seeking an experienced Maintenance Team Lead to coordinate daily activities, guide technicians, and ensure safe, efficient operations across wind turbine tooling and equipment. You will monitor workloads, improve service delivery, interpret technical docs, and uphold health, safety and quality standards while supporting senior engineers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Recognised engineering qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Maintenance, or related discipline.
• Experience in maintenance, workshop, service, manufacturing, or engineering environments.
• Experience coordinating teams and supervising technicians.
• Strong maintenance planning, workload prioritisation, and resource management.
• Proficient in maintenance software such as SAP.
• Able to interpret technical drawings and procedures.
• Commitment to Health, Safety, Environmental, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and prioritise the maintenance team's daily activities.
• Lead, support, and develop technicians with guidance and training.
• Monitor workloads, resources, and service delivery.
• Ensure maintenance, repair, calibration, and inspections comply with standards.
• Act as main contact for stakeholders, communicating progress and service performance.
• Drive safety and continuous improvement, implementing corrective actions.
• Manage maintenance records, equipment availability, inventory, recruitment, and projects.
