• Review loan documentation for accuracy, feasibility, and risk mitigation.
• Mentor and coach junior team members to sustain high performance.
• Maintain a strong controls environment and escalate issues as needed.

• Review LMA standard documents and related agreements.

As a Wholesale Lending Services Senior Associate within the Wholesale Lending Services team, you will play a pivotal role in building high-performing teams, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring operational excellence throughout the loan lifecycle. You will collaborate with global partners and stakeholders, influence key outcomes, and foster a culture of innovation, inclusivity, and continuous improvement. Job responsibilities

• Take ownership of complex loan transactions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery across the loan lifecycle.
• Lead or act as SME in team projects and initiatives focused on process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency.
• Supporting daily trading operations efficiently, ensuring timely and accurate trade execution while collaborating with traders and team members to resolve discrepancies.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, legal, credit, and operations teams, to resolve inquiries and facilitate seamless transaction processing.
• Review and interpret loan documentation, applying attention to detail and analytical skills to ensure operational feasibility and risk mitigation.
• Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Maintain a strong controls environment, adhering to established procedures and policies, and escalating issues as appropriate.
• Contribute to a culture of excellent client service, supporting programs to enhance processes, reduce risk, and increase scalability.
• Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team, supporting the development and engagement of colleagues.
• Review Loan Market Association (LMA) standard documents and other legal documents including trade confirms, assignment agreements, and related agreements.
  

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

• Experience in financial services, banking operations, or lending services, with a strong understanding of loan products and transaction management.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex documentation and manage multiple high-priority tasks.
• Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, or SME experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate across teams.
• Proficiency in time management, organisation, and prioritisation, working well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Demonstrated control mindset and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all activities.
• Ability to mentor and coach junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new systems and technologies.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

• Experience in syndicated lending, loan servicing, transaction execution or trading services within a financial institution.
• Familiarity with trade settlement processes, regulatory requirements, and operational risk management.
• Experience with LMA standard documentation and knowledge of the LMA Standard Terms and Conditions.
• Strong data and technology literacy, with the ability to analyse data and implement innovative solutions.
• Experience in process automation, continuous improvement, and change management initiatives.
• Developing proficiency in leveraging technology, including AI/ML, to create innovative lending and trading solutions.
• Experience in preparing quantitative reports and supporting strategic planning efforts.
