Job summary

Well Pharmacy invites an experienced Area Operations Manager to lead 15–20 community pharmacies in West Scotland. You will build high-performing teams, drive KPI performance, and ensure patient safety across your area, reporting to the Senior/Regional Operations Manager.

You will shape service delivery, NHS compliance, and budget attainment while fostering strong relationships with local healthcare partners and supporting continuous improvement across the pharmacy network.

Qualifications

• Experience in field or multi-site management.
• Strong commercial and analytical skills.
• Understanding of NHS contractual requirements and GPhC standards.
• Ability to lead teams to achieve KPIs and budgets.
• Resilient in a fast-changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Visit each pharmacy at least every two weeks to drive performance.
• Align activity with corporate objectives (Delivering Well).
• Drive prescription growth, service delivery and OTC sales within budget.
• Ensure compliance with NHS contractual requirements and GPhC standards.
• Recruit, coach and develop area teams and provide performance feedback.
• Build relationships with local healthcare partners and stakeholders.
