Victim Support is recruiting a Triage & Early Interventions Officer to join the North Wales Victim Help Centre, based in St Asaph, North Wales. You will work either 37.5 hours per week or 22.5 hours per week, with Welsh language skills desirable. The role involves telephoning victims, assessing needs, and coordinating services with partner agencies and Victim Support staff.

Qualifications

• Contact victims by telephone to undertake needs assessment and commission services.
• Refer victims to partner agencies and contact approved suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Contact Victims by telephone to undertake a comprehensive needs assessment and commission a range of services to support identified needs as appropriate.
• Refer victims to partner agencies and contact approved suppliers to deliver services to victims.
• Make direct referrals to appropriate colleagues and allocate Victim Support workers for further support.
• Identify and manage the victims immediate service needs and contribute towards risk assessment processes whilst following agreed safe contact processes and securely recording contacts.
• Build trust and confidence with victims who will be vulnerable and have complex needs.
