Job summary

Victim Support in the United Kingdom is seeking a dedicated Support & Early Interventions Officer to join our triage team. The role operates on a hybrid basis, blending home and Sheffield office work, delivering impact and risk assessments, and providing tailored support to clients referred to our service.

You will act as the first point of contact via phone, text or email, handling immediate and short-term interventions while coordinating with partner agencies and maintaining confidential

Qualifications

• Strong written & verbal communication skills.
• Good time management skills.
• Competent IT skills, able to use generic systems.
• Ability to work effectively both as part of a team & independently.
• To develop & maintain partnerships with external organisations.
• Knowledge of safeguarding issues & legislation related to child protection & vulnerable adults.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive impact & risk assessments for clients.
• Provide tailored responses to clients' needs, including children and young people & adults affected by crime, ensuring they are aware of their rights.
• Manage a caseload of clients requiring immediate & short-term interventions, developing support plans & referring to other agencies as needed.
• Maintain accurate & confidential case management records.
• Work as part of a team & collaborate with statutory & voluntary agencies to address clients' needs.
