Aspire People are currently recruiting for a Welsh-speaking Cover Supervisor to support secondary schools across Rhondda Cynon Taf. This role suits someone with strong Welsh language skills who enjoys working with young people and wants to gain or continue experience in a secondary school environment.

The position involves covering lessons, delivering pre-set work, and maintaining a positive classroom atmosphere while supporting student learning.

Qualifications

• Fluent Welsh language required for teaching across secondary settings.
• Experience with young people or in an education environment is preferred.
• Confident classroom and behaviour management skills are essential.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities are important.
• Reliable, adaptable and able to work independently when needed.
• Registration with EWC or willingness to obtain is required or desired.
• Enhanced DBS via Update Service is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cover lessons across the secondary school when needed.
• Deliver pre-set work and keep students focused on tasks.
• Maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment.
• Manage behaviour confidently and consistently.
• Support students with their learning where appropriate.
• Work across different subjects as required by the timetable.
• Liaise with teaching staff on lesson plans and progress.
