Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Welsh Speaking Childcare Assessor in Pontypool for two Welsh-medium schools. The role is part-time, 1.5 days per week, fixed-term until July 2027.

The assessor will deliver childcare qualifications in Welsh and separately assess seven learners across two sites, monitoring progress and providing feedback. Essential qualifications include TAQA or AVA, and fluent Welsh with the ability to teach and assess through Welsh.

Qualifications

• Welsh-speaking capability essential to teach and assess through Welsh.
• Experience delivering or assessing childcare qualifications.
• Strong communication and organisational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver childcare qualifications through Welsh for one day per week.
• Assess a total of seven learners across two schools.
• Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Manage 1.5 days per week across both sites on a fixed-term basis until July 2027.
