Job summary

Virgin Active Northampton is seeking a Sales Membership Consultant to join the Acquisitions team. This full-time role (40 hours per week) focuses on sales growth, member engagement, and delivering outstanding service within the club.

You will drive monthly membership goals, build relationships, and tailor offerings for individual members and local corporate opportunities. The position emphasizes a welcoming club experience and strong customer-facing leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-centric roles and meeting sales targets.
• Strong interpersonal skills and approachability.
• Willingness to work 40 hours per week at a club location.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the point of contact for members, elevating their member experience at every touchpoint.
• Creating a presence and a warm, inviting atmosphere throughout the club, from acting as Front of House, to providing new Member visits.
• Taking ownership of your membership targets, striving for excellence in sales, retention, and growth every month.
• Ensuring that all activity targets are met to achieve our desired net growth.
• Tailoring membership offerings to meet individual needs and expand corporate memberships to prospects within the immediate locality of the club.
• Providing advice on all activities related to Exercise Experience and products offered by Virgin Active.
• Supporting the smooth operation of your club and consistently provide exceptional customer service to all.
• Taking on the responsibilities of the Duty Shift as needed, demonstrating flexibility and dedication to the needs of the business, leading by example in all aspects of club management.
