Job summary

Buckinghamshire College Group is seeking a Senior Wellbeing Officer to lead a dedicated Student Services wellbeing offer across campuses in Aylesbury, Amersham and Wycombe. You will support disadvantaged and vulnerable learners, remove engagement barriers and promote successful outcomes and progression.

You will work with safeguarding, SEND, curriculum teams and external agencies, overseeing case management while driving service development and quality improvement. DBS checks apply.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting young people or vulnerable learners in education, wellbeing, youth work, or community settings.
• Experience coordinating or supervising staff, projects or services.
• Excellent communicator with ability to handle sensitive situations professionally and empathetically.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the wellbeing team to deliver high-quality, inclusive support services.
• Coordinate wellbeing provision, targeted interventions and support for vulnerable learners.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Wellbeing Officer to join our Student Services team. These additional posts have been created to strengthen our wellbeing, outreach and inclusion provision, ensuring learners receive timely, effective and student-centred support. Reporting to the Director of Student Services, you will lead and coordinate the College's wellbeing offer across all campuses. You will play a key role in supporting disadvantaged, vulnerable and at-risk learners, removing barriers to engagement, promoting positive wellbeing, and helping students achieve successful outcomes and progression. What You'll Do:

• Lead and support the wellbeing team to deliver high-quality, inclusive support services
• Coordinate wellbeing provision, targeted interventions and support for vulnerable learners
• Work collaboratively with curriculum teams, safeguarding, SEND, parents/carers and external agencies
• Monitor wellbeing trends, oversee case management and contribute to service development and quality improvement
• Promote a trauma-informed, learner-centred culture that enables all students to participate, achieve and progress

  You will have experience of supporting young people or vulnerable learners within an education, wellbeing, youth work or community setting, together with experience of coordinating or supervising staff, projects or services. You will be an excellent communicator, able to build strong relationships and manage sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy.
