Job summary

Champneys Forest Mere is seeking a Senior Chef de Partie to drive exceptional food quality and kitchen standards. Reporting to the Head Chef, you’ll own your section, lead by example, and support the wider team to deliver dishes reflecting the Champneys wellness philosophy.

You will coach junior chefs, ensure stock control and hygiene, and work closely with front-of-house teams to provide a seamless guest experience. This role emphasises nutrition and wellbeing in every dish.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar chef role within a quality-led environment.
• Strong knowledge of allergens, dietary requirements and nutritional standards.
• A passion for healthy, wellness-focused cuisine.

Responsibilities

• Support the Sous Chef and step up in their absence.
• Lead, coach and inspire junior chefs across the kitchen.
• Prepare and present dishes to exceptional standards with a nutrition focus.
• Manage your section with stock control, cleanliness and organisation.
• Drive quality, consistency and continuous improvement across menus and service.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, HACCP and hygiene standards.
• Collaborate with front-of-house teams to deliver seamless guest experiences.
• Control food costs, reduce waste and maximise efficiency.
