Job summary

Champneys Buxton Crescent is seeking a committed Kitchen Supervisor to support the Head Chef in managing the kitchen, ensuring meals meet Champneys high standards and the healthful cuisine philosophy.

You will assist with menu development, staff recruitment and training, and supervise kitchen operations in the Head Chef's absence. This full-time role includes benefits and gratuities, with opportunities to contribute to wellness dining at Champneys.

• Assist the Head Chef in the management and running of the kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in the management and running of the kitchen, ensuring staff stay motivated and food is prepared to a high standard.
• Support menu development and design with nutrition in Champneys healthy eating cuisine.
• Assist Head Chef in recruiting, training and supervising kitchen staff to Champneys standards.
• Oversee kitchen operations in the Head Chef's absence, including staff supervision and rotas.
• Update the People System with daily hours and complete rotas as instructed.
• Prepare and present buffets and menu items.
• Maintain cleanliness and compliance with legislative standards in the kitchen.
• Order food items, check prices and supplier quality; ensure use of nominated suppliers.
• Monitor and control departmental food costs and minimize wastage.
