Job summary

Advinia Health Care in Scotland is seeking a Wellbeing Coordinator to design and deliver meaningful wellbeing experiences that promote joy, movement and connection for residents. As a Dementia Ambassador, you’ll champion inclusion and dignity and lead with the B Happie Framework to turn wellbeing into everyday magic.

Qualifications

• GCSE or equivalent in Maths & English.
• Confidence using technology.
• Experience of Dementia – either personal or professional.
• Energetic, compassionate, and full of creative ideas.
• A natural people-person who can light up a room.
• Passionate about wellbeing, inclusion, and person-centred care.
• Confident leading activities — from lively group sessions to calm one-to-one time.
• Organised enough to make the magic happen consistently.

Responsibilities

• Engage with and fully implement Advinia’s Happieness & Wellbeing programme and embed the whole home approach to activities.
• Build community links and promote community events such as Intergenerational sessions, Coffee Mornings, Open Days and Cultural Celebrations.
• Develop, manage and coordinate a regular, varied calendar of group activities, in collaboration with the Residents, that are person-centred and meaningful.
• Plan individualised 1:1 Sessions for Residents and engage with life story work to inform care planning.
• Manage the activity budget with the Home Manager and undertake fundraising opportunities.
• Maximise resources available and ensure risk assessments are completed for all activities and outings.
• Support colleagues to become Dementia Friends and signpost to carers groups and Admiral Nurse services.
• Maintain dementia publications, assist with Dementia Environment Audit, and build community links with dementia charities/organisations.
• Stay updated on best practice by attending Wellbeing Forums and liaising with the Head of Dementia and Lead Happieness Ambassador.
