Job summary

Advinia Health Care is seeking a Temporary Wellbeing Coordinator (Maternity Cover) to lead a vibrant programme of activities and meaningful experiences for residents. You will work with the Home Manager and Dementia Ambassador to embed happiness, inclusion, and person-centred care across the home.

The role centres on developing a varied activity calendar, 1:1 sessions, budget management, and risk assessments, while fostering community links and life-story work to inform care planning.

Qualifications

• GCSE or equivalent in Maths & English.
• Confidence using technology.
• Experience of Dementia – either personal or professional.
• Energetic, compassionate, and full of creative ideas.
• A natural people-person who can light up a room.
• Passionate about wellbeing, inclusion, and person-centred care.
• Confident leading activities - from lively group sessions to calm one-to-one time.
• Organised enough to make the magic happen consistently.

Responsibilities

• Engage with Home Manager and team to implement Advinia’s Happieness & Wellbeing programme and embed the whole home approach to activities.
• Develop, manage and coordinate a regular calendar of group activities; plan 1:1 sessions and life story work.
• Manage the activity budget; coordinate resources, outings and fundraising opportunities.
• Maximise resources for meaningful engagement opportunities and complete risk assessments for activities and outings.
