Job summary

Bupa at Tenterden House Care Home seeks an Activity Coordinator to create a vibrant, joy-filled environment for residents. You will plan and run daily activities, manage a set activities budget, and collaborate with care teams to tailor experiences that support wellbeing.

You will organise events, liaise with local performers, and arrange one-to-one activities, helping residents reminisce, stay active, and enjoy social interactions. A caring, creative mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Creative thinker with the ability to manage budgets and maintain paperwork.
• Interest in caring for others with a warm, engaging manner.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and juggle multiple activities in a busy home.

Responsibilities

• Run morning and afternoon activity sessions.
• Produce and update an activity planner within the home budget.
• Organise birthday surprises for residents.
• Coordinate with external companies and performers for days out/events.
• Arrange one-to-one sessions with residents ( reminiscence tools, puzzles, reading, chat).
• Support home social media channels as required.
