Job summary

Allington Court Care Home, part of Bupa, invites applications for an Activity Coordinator on a bank contract in the UK. You will design and run engaging activities, tailor plans to residents’ interests, and work with care teams to support wellbeing.

You’ll coordinate sessions, manage activities within budget, arrange celebrations, and connect with local providers for outings, aiming to foster laughter, companionship, and meaningful experiences.

Qualifications

• Creative thinker with ideas for activities and events.
• Ability to manage budgets and keep paperwork organized.
• Genuine care for residents, with a positive, engaging approach.

Responsibilities

• Run morning and afternoon activity sessions.
• Produce and update an activity planner within the home budget.
• Organise birthday surprises and resident events.
• Liaise with external providers for days out/events at the home.
• Arrange one-to-one sessions with residents (reminiscing tools, puzzles, reading, chat).
• Support the home’s social media as required.
