Job summary

Bupa, Bank Tenterden House Care Home in the United Kingdom, is seeking an enthusiastic Activity Coordinator on a bank contract. You will design and deliver engaging activities that support residents’ wellbeing, independence and social connection, including arts, baking, book clubs and quizzes.

Working with care teams, you’ll create tailored activity plans, manage a small budget, and coordinate external performers and one-to-one sessions.

• Ability to manage budgets and maintain paperwork.
• Effectively managing priorities as they arise.

Responsibilities

• Running morning and afternoon activity sessions.
• Producing and updating an activity planner for the home, working to a set activities budget.
• Organising birthday surprises for our residents.
• Liaising with external companies and performers from the local community to organise days out/events at the home.
• Organising one to one sessions with our residents, this might involve reminiscing tools, puzzles, reading or just a cup of tea and a chat.
• Supporting the home with their social media channels as required.
