Job summary

Etive House Care Home in Benderloch near Oban is seeking an Activities Coordinator on a 40-hour-per-week contract. You will plan and deliver a varied programme of group and one-to-one activities for residents, tailored to interests and care needs, with a focus on wellbeing, independence and social interaction.

Training is provided, and the role includes paid PVG, pension, uniform, and 5.6 weeks annual leave based on a full-time contract.

Qualifications

• Creative, organised and enthusiastic approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging activities.
• Interest in supporting older people.
• Experience in activities or similar role is beneficial; transferable skills from hospitality, events, childcare or community work encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, meaningful and person-centred activities to promote wellbeing, independence and social interaction.
• Plan and deliver a varied programme of group and one-to-one activities tailored to individual interests, abilities and care needs.
• Build strong relationships to understand preferences and support inclusive participation for all residents, including those living with dementia.
• Work as part of the wider team to create a positive, stimulating environment where residents feel valued, active and connected.
