Job summary

Parklands Care Homes in Scotland is seeking a part-time Wellbeing Coordinator (18 hours per week) at Urray House Care Home in Muir of Ord. The role focuses on promoting residents' health and wellbeing, organising activities, and supporting social and physical engagement for residents.

You will work in a fast-paced team, use strong communication, attend training, and ensure residents' safety and enjoyment during mealtimes and activities.

Qualifications

• Promote the general health and mental wellbeing of residents.
• Provide access to recreational activities and social engagement.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families and health professionals.
• Observe and record residents' condition and update care plans.
• Support mobility and falls prevention, observing safety policies.
• Support health and safety for residents and staff.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents and company information.

Responsibilities

• Encourage participation in physical exercise, mental stimulation and cultural activities.
• Organise group or individual activities to keep residents engaged and happy.
• Document interactions and update individual activity preferences in care plans.
• Assist with meals and social mealtimes to improve enjoyment.
• Support moving and handling following proper techniques and policies.
• Attend mandatory training related to moving and handling, health and safety, infection control and first aid.
