Job summary

Etive House Care Home in the Oban area is seeking an Activities Coordinator to deliver engaging, person-centred activities that promote wellbeing, independence and social interaction for residents.

You will plan a varied programme, tailor activities to individual interests and care needs, and work closely with the team to create a welcoming, inclusive environment. Training is provided, and previous care experience is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Creative, organised and enthusiastic approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging activities.
• Genuine interest in supporting older people.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in activities or similar role is beneficial; transferable skills encouraged.
• Open to both experienced candidates and those new to care, with training provided.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a varied programme of group and one-to-one activities.
• Tailor activities to individual interests and care needs.
• Build strong relationships to understand preferences and promote participation.
• Work as part of the wider team to create a positive, stimulating environment.
• Support residents including those living with dementia.
