Job summary

Generations People is recruiting for an exciting opportunity, for a Welder Fabricator to join a global manufacturing company based in the Sheffield area. The successful candidate will undertake the primary role of Welder Fabricator by our client's procedures, supporting operations and assisting with any other duties required.

The role focuses on MIG welding of mild steel, fabrication and assembly to engineering drawings, and inspecting welds for accuracy.

Qualifications

• Recognised welding and fabrication qualification; 3–5 years minimum work experience as a fabricator.
• Mig welding experience and ability to read engineering drawings.
• Experience fabricating tanks and vessels is desirable.
• Able to operate power rollers and other manual machines.
• Ability to work to deadlines with quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• MIG welding of mild steel.
• Fabrication, building, finishing and assembly per drawings.
• Inspect welds for accuracy.
• Follow written instructions and keep records.
• Work safely as part of a team.
