Job summary

Stafforce Recruitment is seeking a skilled Fabricator Welder for an on-site Sheffield role with a leading vehicle solutions provider. This temporary assignment has potential to become permanent after 12 weeks, with pay of £14-£18 per hour.

You will fabricate and weld to drawings, assemble components for body builds, and work with safety-conscious, team-focused colleagues. On-site location; own transport preferred.

Qualifications

• MIG welding and fabrication experience is essential.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Good manual handling and physical fitness.
• Own transport preferred due to site location.
• UK Driver's License required; HGV advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble metal components for vehicle body builds and sub-assemblies.
• Carry out MIG welding tasks to a high standard.
• Read and work from detailed technical drawings and build specifications.
• Work on refurbishment projects and new vehicle builds.
• Maintain safe working practices and contribute to production targets.

Position: Fabricator Welder

Location: Sheffield (Ideal for candidates based in Sheffield, Chesterfield, or Rotherham)

Type: Temporary (with potential to become permanent after 12 weeks)

Pay: £14-£18

We are working with a leading provider of vehicle solutions, currently seeking a skilled Fabricator Welder to join their growing team. This role is based on-site and offers the opportunity to secure a permanent position following a successful 12-week temporary period.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience in fabrication and MIG welding.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
• A UK Driver's License is required; an HGV license is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong teamwork skills and a focus on quality and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Fabricate and assemble metal components for vehicle body builds and sub-assemblies.
• Carry out MIG welding tasks to a high standard.
• Read and work from detailed technical drawings and build specifications.
• Work on refurbishment projects and new vehicle builds.
• Maintain safe working practices and contribute to production targets.

Benefits:

• Hourly Rate: £14 to £18.00 per hour (Dependent on Experience)
• Working Hours:
  Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
  Friday: 7:30 AM - 3:00 PM
• Overtime: Time and a half after 39 hours, with Saturday morning overtime available
• Full PPE and uniform provided, with personal locker
